Budmerice Spring Fling’s history goes back to 2006 when group of enthusiasts, carrying one skillshot, decided to run a disc golf tournament in beautiful park surroudings of local manor-house in Budmerice. Since then, thanks to Martin Krička, Lukáš Grožaj, Richard Kollár and Stefan Dobrev the tournament was run under their leadership annually.

During 2017, Stefan’s effort have been joined by several other enthusiasts - Michal Kúdela, Soňa Kúdelová and Jakub Matejka, which have brought vision of unique international tournament in the heart of Europe. Nowadays Budmerice Spring Fling is one of most (over) booked PDGA tournament of Slovak disc golf League.

Year after year we host players from Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Croatia...and we hope that it will become a routine also for players from other countries.

During 2018, thanks to disc golf club Malženice in cooperation with Michal Kúdela and Jozef Savkuliak mayor of Budmerice,
6 permanent baskets, being part of tournament course, were installed, providing 12-hole free-to-play permanent course in Budmerice available all-season-long.
